Making his second appearance on our list, Merrill’s more accessible (but still highly desirable) Chrome Refractor Auto in PSA 10 condition has drawn 85 watchers with bidding at $412.50.
Merrill’s sweet swing and clutch hitting have made him an instant impact player for the Padres. He’s also only 22 years old, and since the Padres have locked him down to a $156 million extension, he’ll be patrolling the Peto Park outfield until 2035.
Elly De La Cruz PSA 8 Definitive Rookie Logo Patch Auto Purple
Rounding out this list is another De La Cruz gem – a PSA 8 Purple Patch Auto from Topps Definitive numbered to just 10 copies. This beauty has 88 watchers with bidding at $479.69.
De La Cruz’s highlight-reel plays and raw tools have made him must-see TV. While still refining his approach at the plate, I think his ceiling remains among the highest in baseball. Based on interest in his rookie cards, collectors are likely banking on his development into a perennial All-Star.
