2025 Topps Transcendent Baseball Release

2025 Topps Transcendent Baseball Release Features Amazing Dual Auto Cards

The 2025 Topps Transcendent Baseball release is expected to drop on March 11, and there’s a lot for collectors to get excited about.

But out of all the awesome inserts included in this ultra-premium product, a set of Through The Years Dual Autograph cards caught my eye the most. Let’s talk about that a little more and what else to expect in this release.

6 Legendary Pairings That Collectors Will Be Chasing

An Instagram post from Topps Dugout gave us a first look at six of the dual autograph pairings included in the release, and the lineup is stacked. Here’s what we know is in the mix for these 1-of-1s:

Ichiro and Ken Griffey Jr.

Derek Jeter Shows Up Twice — Because Of Course He Does

It’s obvious to see after looking at the above rundown, but I’m going to mention it again — Derek Jeter appears not once, but twice in this insert.

And this makes sense when you think about it. Jeter joins Jackson to provide plenty of World Series firepower, and he’s on the same piece of cardboard as Judge to unite New York’s most recent team captains.

Pulling any of these cards would be a significant moment, especially for any Jeter collectors or Yankee fans in general. Which one of these would you prefer? It’s tough, but I might lean more for the Jeter/Judge combo. While you can’t go wrong with any card that features Jackson, there’s still a chance for Judge’s value to increase since he’s shown no signs of slowing down on the diamond.

The Juan Soto-Mike Piazza Card Is My Personal Favorite

I’m a Mets fan, so you know there’s really no contest when it comes to which of the above cards is my favorite. Piazza was the most impactful Met of my childhood, and the Hall of Famer joins forces with a future Hall of Famer in Juan Soto. Personally, the only player that would’ve been better to pair with Soto is David Wright.

Soto’s first year in Queens didn’t go well regarding team performance, but his individual stats were insane. He produced a .921 OPS with a career-high 43 home runs, 105 RBI, and 120 runs scored. The left-handed slugger also flirted with joining the 40-40 club by swiping a career-high 38 bags. This performance led to his sixth Silver Slugger Award and a third-place finish in National League MVP Award voting.

Piazza’s legacy with the Mets is untouchable. And while Soto has a way to go before he’s mentioned in the same breath regarding franchise impact, the potential is undeniably there. Whoever pulls this card will have something special…not just as a collector’s piece, but as a snapshot of where the franchise has been and where it might be headed.

What You Need to Know About the 2025 Topps Transcendent Baseball Release

According to Beckett.com’s Andrew Harner, the 2025 Topps Transcendent Baseball release sticks with the same format that worked in 2024. Each case contains just one box, but it’s packed with hits. We’re talking four packs plus 10 additional cards that cover autographs, autographed patches, and premier relics.

The base Transcendent Icons Chrome checklist runs through four parallel tiers: Orange Refractor (/25), Black Refractor (/10), Red Refractor (/5), and the coveted Superfractor (1/1). Every card also has an Image Variation with matching parallel levels.

Every box includes a guaranteed 1/1 Superfractor parallel, which alone makes this one of the most collector-friendly premium products on the market (assuming your budget can handle the price). The Through The Years Dual Autos sit among several other 1/1 concepts, including 1961 Topps Superfractor Autographs and 1961 Topps All-Star Superfractor Autos.

There’s also a VIP event tied to the release. Each case comes with a Gold Tier invitation, and 10 collectors will find Transcendent Tier invites offering premium experiences that Topps describes as a “collector’s dream.”
