The 2024 Topps Chrome Logofractor Autographed Superfractor is the peak of modern card manufacturing. Every Imanaga Chrome Superfractor that Topps released in 2024 carried a “1/1” designation, making each one a true unicorn.

What makes this particular card so special beyond its perfect BGS 10 grade? The Logofractor technology creates a mesmerizing visual effect. When light hits the card just right, the refractor pattern dances across Imanaga’s image. Add in the crisp on-card autograph, and you’ve got a piece that screams premium from every angle.

The grading process itself deserves recognition here — earning a BGS 10 doesn’t come easy. It requires perfect centering, sharp corners, pristine edges, and flawless surface quality. For a card featuring both autograph and refractor technology to achieve this grade says plenty about both Topps’ quality control and the care this card received from the collector.

2024 Topps Chrome: A Rookie Class for the Ages

The 2024 Topps Chrome release was a goldmine for collectors, especially when it came to rookie content. While Imanaga’s Superfractors steal headlines, the entire Chrome lineup delivered excellent value across multiple rookie cards and parallel variations.

Standard Logofractor Autographed cards from this set (those without the Superfractor designation) have been commanding prices north of $200 when they achieve Mint grades. That baseline value demonstrates the broader market confidence in both the product and Imanaga’s long-term collectibility.

What’s particularly impressive about this Chrome release is how Topps managed to balance accessibility with premium chase cards. While the Superfractors remain virtually impossible to pull, the base rookie cards and lower-numbered parallels gave collectors more than one entry point into the Imanaga market. This strategy created sustainable demand that continues driving up values.

Imanaga’s Market Performance: Setting the Standard

The card market has responded well to Imanaga’s emergence as a legit ace. A comparable 2024 Topps Chrome Rookie Autographs SuperFractor recently sold for $10,370 at Goldin Auctions after getting 16 competitive bids. That September 2024 sale established a benchmark that this perfect BGS 10 Logofractor likely surpasses.

Current market trends show Imanaga rookie cards maintaining strong momentum across all major platforms. His base Chrome rookies consistently sell in the $20-40 range, while numbered parallels command significantly more depending on print runs and condition. The autographed variants are the sweet spot for serious collectors, as they offer both signature appeal and reasonable availability compared to the impossible-to-find Superfractors.

From Yokohama to Wrigley: A Star’s Incredible Journey

After establishing himself with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars between 2016 and 2023, Imanaga’s transition to American baseball exceeded even the most optimistic projections.

His 2024 numbers included a 15-3 record, 2.91 ERA, and 174 strikeouts against just 28 walks in 173.1 innings across 29 starts. His 1.02 WHIP showed the pinpoint control that makes him so effective, while those 174 punchouts proved he had no problem missing bats at the highest level. He was not only named an All-Star in his first big-league campaign, but he also finished fourth in National League Rookie of the Year voting and fifth in NL Cy Young Award voting.

The excellence has continued in 2025, as well. Although a lengthy stint on the injured list has hampered his workload, Imanaga is currently 7-4 with a 3.12 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 55 strikeouts and 17 walks in 78 innings for Chicago. So, it doesn’t look like he’s suffering from any kind of sophomore slump.

For collectors holding Imanaga cards, his on-field performance provides the foundation every investment needs: consistent, elite-level production that shows no signs of slowing down.
