Where Guerrero Stands in Blue Jays HR History Entering 2025
Although Vlad Jr. just turned 26 years old, he’s already among the top 10 sluggers in Toronto’s franchise history. He enters the 2025 campaign with 160 career taters, which ranks eighth all-time. While it will be tough for him to make significant progress in moving up the leaderboard this year, he should move up one slot quite easily.
The next player ahead of him is Jesse Barfield, who hit 179 homers for the Blue Jays. After him are George Bell (202) and Joe Carter (203).
Guerrero has surpassed the 40-homer plateau once in his career, but he certainly made it count. He slugged 48 taters in 2021, which ranks as the second-most homers in a single season in franchise history. Jose Bautista is still the leader with 54 homers in 2010.
A Breakdown of Guerrero’s Yearly Home Run Production
Guerrero made his much-anticipated MLB debut in 2019. Here is his yearly home run production since he entered the big leagues:
- 2019: 15
- 2020: 9
- 2021: 48
- 2022: 32
- 2023: 26
- 2024: 30
FanGraphs’ Steamer projections have him leading the Blue Jays in homers again this season with 33. How many times do you think Vlad Jr. will go deep this year? Drop your predictions in the comments.
