Join the MLB Daily Dingers Community Today!
I know what you’re thinking. Another email?! I promise it’ll be fun, though. But before you hand over your email address, here’s a bit more about who I am, what you’ll get each week, and why you should subscribe.
Who Am I?
My name is Matt Musico. I’ve loved baseball my whole life. I played through college and learned a lot about character development thanks to being a Mets fan.
Once my playing days were over, I wanted to stay engaged with the game. That led to starting a personal baseball blog in 2011, and it’s taken me on a ride I wasn’t expecting. I’ve written for lots of places along the way, including Bleacher Report, FanSided, Yahoo! Sports, MetsMerized Online, and Heavy. I’ve also been a full-time sportswriter for FanDuel and XL Media.
Looking back at meaningful games and moments in baseball history is so much fun. MLB Daily Dingers was born on Twitter/X in 2020, and I wondered if anyone else would like seeing me post home run videos every day.
Spoiler alert: they did! MLB Daily Dingers still shares daily home run content across X, Instagram, and Facebook with 20,000-plus followers. I also turned it into a blog (which is where you are right now), with a vision to make MLB Daily Dingers a written and visual library for MLB’s home run history.
What You Can Expect From the MLBDD Newsletter
That’s a perfect segue to discussing what you can expect from MLB Daily Dingers when you subscribe! It’s almost as if I planned it that way.
At the moment, you can expect three emails per week from me.
I share at least three home run videos per day on social media. Get a sneak peek of what I’ll be sharing the upcoming week before everyone else does! That will hit your inbox on Monday morning.
That will be followed by emails on Wednesday and Friday morning. This will be more of a wild card where I pick something interesting and/or topically relevant to the time of year. Is the Home Run Derby coming up? Expect to get some Home Run Derby content. Are the playoffs right around the corner? Learn about the game’s postseason leaders.
Is there a topic you’d like me to dive into for an article? Send the ideas my way — I’m always looking for suggestions.
Why Should You Subscribe?
Do you love baseball? Are you a fan of home runs? How about discussing the players people don’t talk about enough (and the ones that get plenty of time in the spotlight)?
Then this is the place for you. I love providing context on memorable performances and talking about players we probably haven’t seriously thought about in at least 10 years.
Come join the community — I want it to be fun and interactive here! I happily take requests of all kinds. I’m always brainstorming ways to make this experience more enjoyable and worthwhile, as well.
Baseball is the greatest game in the world. This is a space for all of us to enjoy America’s Pastime in all its glory, together. I’d love for you to join in on the fun.
