Mets vs Yankees tickets: Watch 2023 Subway Series in Person

mets vs yankees tickets

Major League Baseball is trying its best to water down the regular-season schedule. They’re not only de-emphasizing divisional play starting in 2023 but making it so every team plays everyone each year. Thankfully for New York baseball fans, the Subway Series remains untouched in the way it’s been presented in previous years. Now, the next question is: how can you grab some Mets vs Yankees tickets to watch the 2023 installment live at the stadium?

The Mets and Yankees will be facing off in a pair of two-game series. One will take place at Citi Field and another will happen at Yankee Stadium. The first meeting in Queens is a bit of a bummer because both Aaron Judge (19 home runs) and Pete Alonso (22 home runs) will be inactive due to being on the injured list.

But there’s still plenty of firepower and star power to go around. The Bombers are 78-60 all-time against the Amazins in the Subway Series (not counting their five-game World Series win in 2000). Last year, both New York squads won two games each, while also scoring 13 runs apiece.

Where to Buy Tickets

There are several places to buy Mets vs Yankees tickets each season. The easiest one to think of is to go directly to each team’s official site. However, that doesn’t seem to be the preferred method for many fans these days.

The secondary ticket marketplace has boomed with the emergence of places like StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, and others. But here at MLB Daily Dingers, we prefer to get tickets from our friends at Vivid Seats.

When it comes to finding tickets on a secondary market, you want to do it on a site that’s trusted. That’s what Vivid Seats provides. They’ve served more than 15 million fans and have sold 100-plus million tickets. Vivid also provides safe and secure transactions with a 100% buyer guarantee, so you have peace of mind when planning your next memorable experience. And if you need help, there is full-service customer care from start to finish.

Sounds like pretty good service to us. Can’t really be more convenient or reliable than that.

Ticket Prices

If you’re looking to snag a ticket to the next Subway Series game, be prepared to spend some cash. What you spend will obviously vary depending on where you’re trying to sit, what day of the week the games are happening, and what time of the year it’s taking place.

At the time of this writing, the two-game set at Citi Field from June 13-14 has tickets as low as $70 per seat. Meanwhile, the cheapest seats at Yankee Stadium for the July 25-26 series are currently as low as $47 per ticket. Of course, as we get closer to those dates, prices will likely increase.

Ticket prices for Subway Series games can be high, but with some research and patience, you can find a good deal and experience the excitement of this rivalry.

Seating Chart

The seating chart at Citi Field is divided into several sections/levels. Here’s a peek at the seating chart from the Mets’ official website. If you’re planning on hitting up a game at Yankee Stadium, you can see their seating chart here.

Keep in mind that the seating chart can vary depending on the specific game and ticket availability. It’s always a good idea to check the seating chart and available tickets before making a purchase.

Game Schedule

As mentioned above, the Mets and Yankees will go head-to-head for two different two-game series during the 2023 regular season.

The first will happen at Citi Field. Here are the dates, times, and links to buy tickets:

The second installment will happen at Yankee Stadium. Here are the dates, times, and links to buy tickets:

If you’re heading to any of these four games, enjoy yourself! I’ve been to a Subway Series game at both Citi Field and Yankee Stadium, and the energy is unmatched when it comes to a game in the middle of the regular season. Regardless of how the teams are performing.
