Historically, New York and Boston played each other 19 times per season since they both reside in the American League East. But, with scheduling changes by MLB starting in 2023, these two squads will only play 13 times per year.

Ticket Prices
It doesn’t matter if both teams are contenders or not. If you’re going to buy Red Sox vs Yankees tickets, be prepared to shell out a good amount of money. After playing at Yankee Stadium from June 9-11, New York will travel to Fenway Park for a three-game set about a week later. At the time of this writing, tickets aren’t being sold for any cheaper than $70 each.
However, if you’re willing to wait to see these two squads play, you can get tickets now for later in the season that are not nearly as expensive. Their August 18-20 series at Yankee Stadium currently has prices listed between $40 and $50. It’s a similar story for their final head-to-head matchup of the season at Fenway in September, as prices are landing in the $50 range.
Of course, as the calendar continues to creep closer to those dates, the prices will most likely increase.
Seating Chart
The seating chart at Fenway Park is divided into several sections/levels. And, let’s not forget that it’s the oldest stadium in baseball, so there are more quirks to this venue than many others.
