Bobby Witt Jr. is only entering his third MLB season, but he’s already made quite a name for himself. As one of a handful of shortstops that have proven 30-homer power, we’ve decided to keep tabs on his whereabouts by creating a 2024 Bobby Witt Jr. Home Run Tracker.

Witt slugged 20 homers with 80 RBI during in his first big-league season in 2022. That landed him fourth in the American League Rookie of the Year Award voting. He followed that performance with an even better one in 2023. He finished seventh in AL MVP Award voting after registering a .813 OPS with 30 home runs and 49 RBI in 158 games played. Witt also set a single-season Royals record for most home runs by a shortstop.

Not bad for a second-year player in just his age-23 campaign. His production has already been rewarded by Kansas City, who signed him to a $288.7 million extension this past offseason.

This tracker will work exactly how we did it last season. Each time Witt goes deep, we’ll update this post with the date, opponent, distance, and exit velocity of the dinger, as well as a video of it. How many homers will Witt rack up this year? Keep checking back to find out.
